Shiloh’s Story
3 Years Old
Doberman
“My husband and I decided 3 years ago that we would like to breed Doberman’s as we were home most of the time with the orchard. We thought we could combine something that we were really passionate about with our regular business.
We did a lot of research and finally found our breeder that we were happy with. We left it in the breeder’s hands to choose the pup for us as they show Doberman’s and knew more than we did on what would make a good breeder for our first.
We instantly fell in love with this incredible dog and she changed our lives forever. She completely sold us on the breed, we would never own anything but Doberman’s after her enriching our lives. She’s the most loving, trusting and fearless dog with the biggest personality we’ve ever experienced in a dog.
When it came time to consider taking the first steps into breeding, we wanted to get a full set of bloods done so we could show how healthy our beautiful girl was. When the results came back , we were beyond shocked and devastated to find out our baby was in renal failure at 2 and a half years of age.
We were very lucky though that we had brought her to breed and not just as a pet, as I wouldn’t have done the blood tests on her. Because at the stage she was A symptomatic. So we thought surely it can’t be too serious as she wasn’t showing any sign of pain or being unwell.
We booked her straight away to JCU the university vet for a full examination to know what we were dealing with. The ultrasound confirmed our worst fears. She had no outline of her kidneys on either side. The vet said it looked like she had drunk antifreeze 😥 or had some kind of toxic poisoning. But to the best of our knowledge we believed this wasn’t possible from our property.
So they diagnosed her as having congenital kidney failure, and they estimated because of how advanced it was at her young age we would only have her for 6 to 12 months at the most. As she is only working with 25% of her kidneys left.
Our hearts broke as she had become like the child my husband and I never had together, so we took it upon ourselves to do as much research as we possibly could to save our baby from such an early horrible death.
That’s when our research kept leading us to ASTRO’S OIL. All the feedback we could find was so encouraging that we decided to take a leap of faith and order it for our beautiful girl.
We have been blown away at her road to recovery since being on astros oil’s, the vet cannot believe how well she is doing. In fact on her last blood test they asked us to bring her back as they thought there could have been a mix up with her bloods as they came back in the normal range after 6 months of being off the chart.
They repeated the tests and again they have come back in the normal range. We are beyond ecstatic that we have our beautiful dog still and she still doesn’t show symptoms. We know that her life is still going to be cut short at some stage. But knowing that we have more time with her and knowing we have prolonged her quality of life before she declines is more than we could have ever helped for. So although we aren’t your ordinary or conventional pet shop distributor. We wanted to be a part of offering other pet owners the incredible benefits we have seen with Astro’s Oil for our baby..
If others can get extra time with their fur babies, then that’s something we proudly want to be a part of, and getting the product’s quickly is so vital, which is very difficult here in Australia. So we want to be able to help others in their time of need.”
